

Climbing beautiful ridges. 'Aiguille Crochues'.
Another great training day along the ridges of the 'Aiguille Crochues'! It seems to be a common theme this month of bad weather in Chamonix and we found ourselves once more, high above the clouds on the 'Aiguille Crochues'. This time we accessed via the Flegere Cable car, getting high fast. The climb begins up a moderate rock slope, before reaching some awesome exposed rock climbing, that leads up to the summit. Today was a phenomenal training day, on the Petite Aiguille Verte, in Chamonix! After chasing the weather all morning (yet again!), we spotted a small break in the clouds and headed up the Grand Montet cable car, to access the base of the Petite Verte. Its a super climb beginning up a moderate snow slope, before reaching a beautiful and exposed ridge up high. Second ascent of the Mont Blanc this season, for MK!!!
It was just another beautiful day, on the summit of the Mont Blanc!!! It was my second ascent this season and even though we ascended the same route as before 'Les Bosses', with a six week interval in-between climbs, it was a completley different mountain in terms of snow conditions and a very different climb altogether. Gran Paradiso Summit! MK in Italy!
Where do you climb when it's raining in Chamonix? You go to Italy of course! After days of rain in Cham and waiting for the weather to break, we decided to head over to the Gran Paradiso National Park in Italy and climb the 'Gran Paradiso', the highest mountain in Italy that doesn't share a border.
