Climbing the pretty 'Aiguille L'Index'. Chamonix!

Today we headed up to the pretty 'Aiguille L'Index' to train, high above Chamonix. For most of the day we climbed in the cloud, until we had a brief burst of sunshine that allowed us just enough time to get a quick pic! We decided not to wear rock climbing shoes, but bulky climbing boots for good practice, for the upcoming Himalayan climbing in the Fall. It was a super nice rock route up to the summit and then a few pitches of rappelling to get back down. A big lesson learnt today though; always tie hair back when descending, as mine got caught in the rappel device!!
